The prop being hired is a specially designed rose with a dropping-petal mechanism, intended for stage use in productions such as Beauty and the Beast. It consists of the following components:
Base: A durable wooden base designed to provide stability during use. The base houses internal electronics. The base is finished with a recess to securely hold a protective dome. The base is fitted with effect lighting to up-light the rose.
Stem and Rose Head: A painted wooden stem mounted from the centre of the base, topped with a wooden rose head. The rose head is painted with a textured green finish and contains concealed electromagnets that secure the foam petals.
Petals: Eight foam petals are magnetically attached to the rose head. These petals need to be attached prior to performance.
Dome: A dome that fits into or around the base, displaying the rose while maintaining visibility. The dome is separate and needs to be placed over the rose once the petals are attached. The dome is constructed of glass or metal.
Controller: A plastic control unit with nine labelled switches: eight for individual petal release and one for LED lighting control. The controller connects to the base using three labelled cables.
Cabling: Three supplied control cables connect the base to the controller. These cables are clearly labelled to ensure proper connection and prevent damage. Cables supplied shall be 15metres, unless otherwise specified.
Power Supply: The prop is powered by a standard 230VAC mains lead, supplied with a 2m cable.
This prop is provided with the components required for setup, including instructions for safe operation and assembly prior to performance.
