1 – Insert the Rose

Take the flight case and place on flat, stable ground.
Move the straps to the side, you might find it easier to tuck the buckle into the corner, and hanging the long ends over the side
The base will only go in one way, allowing for the the curved (removable) corner pieces. You might find it easier to remove these corner pieces and add them after putting the base in.

You should not have to force the rose base into the foam.
For now, pass the end of the power cable up and out of the box and leave it draped there.

Locate the shorter buckle and pass the shorter of the two tail ends up through the buckle.
Ensure the strap sits flat accros the base and pull the strap tight across the rose base. To get it tight, pull firmly directly away from the rose. You can push down on the base slightly while you pull.
(You may need someone tall to do this with long reach.)
2- Insert the Glass foam base

Locate the square piece of foam with a square hole in the middle, and indented circle.

Flip the foam piece over and note the cut out in one corner. This must sit over the buckle to ensure the glass dome sits flat.

Insert the foam over the top of the rose base. Make sure the cut out (from the previous picture) is over the buckle.
23- Insert the Rose-head foam support

Next step is to insert the rose head support.
Locate the foam pieces which look like this

Widen the gap in the square foam piece and slide it over the rose stem near the rose head. Make sure it you don’t crush the leaves attached to the stem.

Take the two straight pieces and insert under the square support. the base should sit square on the wooden base.
4 – Inserting the Glass Dome

The Glass Dome can now be inserted
It will slot into the recess in the base foam (on top of the wooden base). Give the top of the dome some gentle downward force to make sure it’s sat in the recess.

Locate the other buckle.
If it doesn’t reach up and over the dome, you’ve used the wrong one over the base somehow… You’ll need to go back a few steps.
Pass the tail end up and through the buckle and pull the tail end down.

If you push down with one hand on the top of the dome, while pulling the tail end down, this will allow you to get it nice and tight.
Make sure the metal buckle is NOT touching the glass and that the neoprene support is between the metal and glass.

Locate and insert the 4 rectangular pieces of soft foam.
Insert these on all four sides between the side of the flight case and the glass dome.

You can tuck the power cable down between the soft foam and the outer foam (not touching the glass).

It should now look something like this with all four foam inserts around the outside.
Make sure there is a bit of a gap at the top for the top piece

Locate the square solid piece of hard foam and push down on top.
It won’t sit totally flat (by design) and will be touching the top of the glass dome in the middle.
5 – Prepare the items for the top

Put all the petals back into the plastic box, ensuring that when the lid goes on, it’s not deforming any of them.

Insert the plastic box and the controller into the foam with the relevant cut-outs.
Put the lid on the plastic box and add the wedge shaped foam cut-out on top of the controller.

Wrap the short strap around the foam ensuring it’s over the centre of the plastic box and controller, and pull tight.
6 – Gather other items for repacking

Gather the three control cables and power cable.
Note the control cables may look different to these, depending on length required.

The Wooden base and prepared foam (with petals and control unit).
There should also be two microfibre cloths for cleaning the glass dome.
You can check the items off against the contents sheet included in the package.

Arrange the items into the top of the flight case as roughly shown.
Make sure the cables and the wooden stand are close enough to avoid the foam supports of the lid.
Make sure you include a second copy of the address label in the top of the flight case.
7 – Closing up – attaching the lid

Take the flight case lid (easier with 2 people) and align the hinges at the back of the flight case
With the hinges re-attached, pivot the lid over the top making sure the aluminium channel round the edge lines up.
Note: If you have to force it to close, something isn’t aligned.

If the hinges are covered by cardboard flaps, pull the flaps down and you can access the butterfly catches.
To operate the hinges, ensure the catch is fully extended (by turning handle) push closed and rotate handle to seal shut.

You can now put the cardboard lid back on. Ensure that it is the correct orientation. The Label on the top should be nearest the side with the butterfly hinges.

If you have kept the original tape with the markers on the end, it’s time to re-apply to the 4 sides. if not, please just apply some duct tape around the box where the two sections meet.

Insert the packing labels into the zip-up wallets note there are two (one on the front, and one on the top).
8 – Handling

The case is big and heavy at around 25kg. It is recommended that two people carry the case.
There are handles on the sides (although they may look different to these) which make it possible for 1 person to move, but make sure that you follow manual handling rules and stay within your own limits.
Unless otherwise stated, the courier can arrive at any time, so make sure it’s somewhere secure but available for the courier.

Before the courier collects the case, we recommend you take photos of the case so you can prove it’s condition incase it gets damaged in transit and a claim is needed on the courier. If you want to be extra certain, take one on the van too, and even email them to simon@enchantedrosehire.co.uk.
Thank you for taking time to read these instructions, now I’m sure you have plenty more get-out jobs to finish…
Thanks again for choosing Enchanted Rose Hire.
